(Cross posted to Azores, Madeira, IslandRoutes lists) I have the hotel room rates. They are a little different (and $2 USD more a night).
Two rates now: $87 USD per night for *standard* rooms (sink is inside the bathroom). Back side of hotel where you see the mountains. $97 USD per night for *deluxe* rooms (45 square feet more/4 square meters - sink outside bathroom). Front of hotel were you look down and see the Trax. The rooms need to be reserved by Friday, August 5, 2016. They have saved 25 rooms for us. Last year, they ran out of rooms and could not add any to our block. Reserving does NOT mean paying now. You pay the hotel at the end of your stay. So in theory, you could book a room today and cancel it next summer if your plans change. Remember, I'm talking about September of NEXT YEAR.
