The confession rolls are at the church. I haven't heard anyone be successful by writing to the churches. You will have to go there.
I think the wills are housed somewhere else, not at the CCA, but I'm not 100% sure. I remember being told that they are filed alphabetically under the name of the notary or lawyer who filed the will. Hopefully you know that name.
