Cheri, both are deceased. Antonio Paiva died in 1977 and Agueda died in 2008. 
If they were alive, I wouldn't be having this conversation. 

It's not a matter of finding the records. It's knowing if it is the right 
person to continue. 

My mom remembered a very specific clue that allowed me to trace my maternal GG 
grandmother's line. There are no helpful clues for the men in her family 
(father and grand father).
