As for the Faial/Pico connection, you'll have to first straighten out the Laurindo/Lucia name. Lucia is feminine, meaning Lucy. A Lucy did not marry a Clara. A man married Clara. If you think they married on Faial around 1860, search CITCEM-GHP (formerly NEPS) for all the freguesias on Faial. It's only missing 1 freguesia, so you will have use Tombo.pt for that.
