Not twins, but the names are so similar it's easy to understand your 
difficulty.

Manuoel, born on 7 June 1844
    son of Antonio Silveira Cardozo & Maria Jozepha
    paternal gps = Manoel Silveira Cardozo & Maria Catharina
    maternal gps = Manoel [Alex?]andre & Maria Jozepha

Antonio, born on 10 June 1844
    son of Antonio Cardozo & Maria de Sao Joze
    paternal gps = Manoel Cardozo & Maria Francisca
    maternal gps = Joze Silveira de Brum & Maria de Sao Joze

In the records where I've seen twins, it's been noted on the record-- look 
for the word "gemeos/as".
