Liz, Early 1700's there are no grandparent names listed. They don't start listing grandparents until about *1860.* The name of the dad is Manoel Furtado, you are right, Mom is Cathrina don't know what the last name is unless the priest is trying to abbreviate Pereira. You have the godfather right. You need to go to the AzoresGenWeb site and print out the time periods and what info is given on the records. Generally, from 1860 forward there is much more info than before that on all of the records. When you are talking 1700's there is not so much; child, parents, village, godparents, date of birth & baptism.
