Hello all, I am looking for information on my great-great-grandfather, Jose Silva. He was a sailor from the Azores who met and married Mary Anne Walsh in New South Wales, Australia. His year of birth is somewhere between 1851-1854, and I believe he was from Pico Island. I have indexes of his marriage and death, and some sailing records, but no record of his birth. I'd appreciate any advice on how to search for this.
