Your ancestor, Francisca de Melo or Francisca de Resendes de Vasconcelos, filha of of the above marriage, drove me nuts with those two names. Luckily she didn't have two husbands! Despite what the record says, it is not clear that Manuel Pereira Braga was baptised in Faial da Terra. I have him baptised in Povoacao. The Bragas of that area all come from Fenais de Ajuda. This branch made its way to Povoacao and then to Faial, where the descendants are many right to this day. Try to get the obtios, this may help establish where they were born based on time lines.
