Josh, you can also check the passporte applications for Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel for the exit from the Azores. You have the date 9 July 1907? so you should be able to find the application before that. Go to Tombo.pt, click on Azores and when it comes up you will have the Passporte listed by place and date. I believe the Ponta Delgada is first.
