Hi Mara, 
thank you so much for your help. Unfortunately I`m almost sure my 
ggrandfather came to Brazil before that because I have seen some entries 
with his name on a kind of Who is Who catalog here in 1876. I find it hard 
to believe that he would have reached that position within only one year 
since his arrival. I`ll try anyway.
