Gwen, once you have the village and names/dates you can go to the site: www.ghp.ics.uminho.pt and search the villages one-by-one and it can be done in English. The only problem is that there are many errors in the transcription of names so you will need to verify all date through the government site which you can reach from tombo.pt (scroll down from the left to " Azores" then click, once the page loads look to the left and click on "Pico" then the 'concelhos' (counties) and then the village name. If you get to the village page,look at the top and click on the British flag for English.
