Can anyone help me decipher the second name (surname or religious name) of the groom's mother? (Right page, lines 19-20.) I've been staring at it for two days and am totally baffled. Here's what I have:
Francisco de Couto, filho de Antonio do Couto, e de Antonia de __________? What looks like a three-letter word or abbreviation ends the line, and the next line starts with "da." In context the word "da" does not make sense, so I believe it is a continuation of the three-letters on the previous line. I've checked the Family Search guides to Portuguese paleography and can't find anything that matches. http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PD-RELVA-C-1762-1780/SMG-PD-RELVA-C-1762-1780_item1/P94.html I will appreciate any insights or advice you can offer.
