As most of our group knows, Joao Ventura (archivist) has been working on the
marriage dispensations for the Azores. Joao has asked that I pass on this
dispensation to all interested and I thought this is the best way to do it.
In 1727 a marriage dispensation in the 4th degree of consanguinity was
granted to Barbara da Conceicao b. Candelaria, Pico, she Died before 1756
and Antonio de Sousa b. Candelaria, Pico and they were married 10 Dec. 1727 in
Candelaria, Pico
-Barbara da Conceicao was the daughter of Maria de Santa Teresa, b.
Lajes, Pico.
-Maria de Santa Teresa was the daughter of Francisco Lopes da Fonseca b. 1638
d 21 May 1718 in Sao Mateus, Pico and Apolonia das Candeias b. 1658, d. 16
Feb. 1718 in Sao mateus, Pico.
