Hello all,
I have been digging for several months to locate my great
grandfather, Manuel Rose. I believe he married a Mary/Maria Fonseca born in
New Bedford about 1877. Her first marriage may have been to a Joseph neves.
I have found mary/Maria and Manuel together only once on the 1910 census in
East Providence, RI. On the 1920 census Mary Rose lists herslf as a widow.
I have not been able to pinpoint his death year or location. They have the
following children from their union:
John Rose b.1906/07 died 1935 in Providence, RI
Lewis/Louis b.1908 described as a hobo. He lived under the fox point
bridge at times, was a light drinker, never married, he played the
accordian and was able to speak French! possible mental illness
Flora? died in childhood?
Lena b.1909/1910
Jennie Mae Rose b. 9/24/1911 (my paternal grandmother)
Please help, I want to understand my lineage
