I also descend from Simao de Sousa and his 2nd wife Catarina Dias through their son, Manoel de Sousa Dias and his 2nd wife, Catarina Fernandes. Simao was the son Baltazar Goncalves and Catarina de Sousa. Their daughter, Maria, took name Botelho. Also, Jorge Nunes Botelho fo Jerónimo Botelho de Macedo was padrinho to their son, Antonio. I am trying to find the connection. Do you have any information on Baltazar Goncalves? Who do you descend from Simao and Catarina?
