It looks like you got most of the information, The date is 4 Jan 1849, Jose de Medeiros son of Antonio de Medeiros and Bernardina de Resendes married Anna Jacinta daughter of Francisco de Mello and Guiteira Maria. It says they are all from that parish.
I would start looking for the marriage of his parents and then once I found that it will be easier to find the Baptism of Jose. Start looking for the marriage of his parents in 1830 and work back in time. Good Luck. I have tried everything I could to be able to read the record. Jose's parents are Antonio de Medeiros & Bernardina de Resendes. This information came from the above marriage record and his son's baptism record. The marriage record states that both families are from Mae de Deus, but I have yet to find Jose's baptism record (back to 1815). Nor have I been able to locate his parents marriage record. Does the marriage record list another village Jose is from, or his age at the time he was married?
