Hi Doreen, The linked record, is a "notice"/ despacho, not exactly a birth record.
It says that Jose Vieira Lourenco son of Incognito/unknown father and of Isabel de Jesus natural and parishioner of S. Roque tried to obtain a certificate of his birth record but it was not possible because the record could not be found and they could not verify if he had been baptised or not. Then it goes on to say... se pode informar que.. "We can inform through the Reverend Priest Antonio Pedro Godinho, and from the Godfather Jose Simoes, and the Lieutenant Joao Cordeiro Jaques that he was baptised and have entered this record that the Supplicant may be able to obtain his certificate from the Reverend Priest.
