Hi Theresa,

To contact your DNA matches, click the envelope under their name and email
them. If the email bounces, you can contact me to see if that person is in
the project. I can look and see if there's an alternate email address I can
give you. If not, then we can have FTDNA call to see if there's a valid
phone number or we can forward the email to FTDNA and they will snail mail
it to the address on file.

Make sure you have your Gedcom uploaded to all your DNA kits. Go back 10-12
generations if you have it. Include the lines of as many DNA matches as you
can figure out (people find the most success with 100 cMs or more). Include
everyone in your Gedcom (1st cousins, 2nd cousins 2x removed, 5th cousins,
etc). Then when you link your matches from your Family Finder test to your
tree, it will activate the Parental Matching feature. Some matches will
also appear on both (just to give genealogists a headache).

Also, some people test only for the ethnicity estimates that they see on
TV. They aren't interested in genealogy :(

Family Tree DNA doesn't like it when people advertise who the DNA match is
without their permission! Kinda funny, because people post all over social
media. But FTDNA asks us to refrain from that.
Thanks, Cheri
