Greetings, Looking for a few of my ancestors from the Azores, I know that a few are from Graciosa but others I am less than positive.
They are as follows Manuel Jose Espinola born Circa 1845, died prior to 1922 on Graciosa. Had a son also called Manuel Jose Espinola born 1869 on Graciosa, JR immigrated via Boston in 1885, settled in Methuen Mass. I have tons of info on the JR, but am looking for his parents. Manuel the JR, was married to a Maria Candida. She born 1871 in Portugal, would be interested to see who her parents were as well. I am unable to find a single trace of her in Portugal The next is not a relation of the prior, and i am unsure which island in the Azores from which they hail. Antonio Picanso i have his birth as 1882 Portugal, but that is as specific as i can find. he immigrated somewhere between 1885 and 1890 via Boston and settled in Lowell Mass. He was Married to a Mary Avila Born 1882 in Boston Mass. Her parents are John P Avila and simply "Mary". They are also persons of interest. Any assistance would be appreciated immensely, I am on family search if anyone would like person ID #s for these individuals. Thank you all again.
