Really, it's not about the spelling variations, it's about whether this is the person you are looking for. How many people, if any, are there named Almanca, or Almanssa/sa or Almanaca? Or any other variation? If there were many, then you have to tread more carefully. But I doubt there are many Bras da Almanca.
