Repost for Helen Ortins Borland, hcalcari at gmail.com I am researching family from Graciosa. My grandmother was Maria Pacheco de Mello born in Graciosa on March 12, 1885 died in Falmouth, Ma. August 1, 1961. Her mother was Albertina Isabella Santos, from Graciosa, born in 1854. Her parents never married but my grandmother's father had 3-5 children with her. His name was Jose Pacheco de Mello. The story goes that he lived in both Graciosa but spent many years in Brazil. It was believed that he had another wife and children either in Brazil or the Azores. I was wondering if anyone has heard of Jose Pachecho de Mello.Thank-you, Helen Ortins Boland
