Based on what I worked on yesterday: Joao Machado de Castro, husband of Emilia Candida and her 3rd cousin is the son of Francisco Machado de Castro, husband of Violante Emilia of Fontinhas, who is the son of Francisco Machado de Castro, husband of Maria de Sao Jose Silva, whi is the son of Antonio Machado de Castro and Maria de Jesus. Now this Antonio Machado de Castro will be an uncle to Emilia Candida. Emilia Candida is the daughter of Antonio Machado de Castro, husband of Catarina Mariana de Jesus, who is the son ? Machado do Castro, who is the son of ? Machado do Castro #2 and this person would be the brother of the Antonio Machado de Castro, husband of Maria de Jesus. Now here is the big problem. It appears that there are two Antonio Machado da Castro & Maria de Jesus families. It appears that one of the Antonio Machado de Castro and Maria de Jesus had 4 sons: 1. Joao Machado de Castro who married Catarina Maxima, daughter of Francisco da Costa and Maria do Carmo on 12/3/1856 (at this time Antonio and Maria are deceased, 2 Mateus Machado de Castro marries Maria do Carmo, daughter of Joao Fernandes de Miranda and Maria de Jesus in 1848 (both Joao and Maria de Jesus are deceased at this time), 3. Antonio Machado de Castro married Maria de Jesus, daughter of Joao Fernandes Miranda and Maria de Jesus on 7/3/1843 pg 21, Francisco Machado de Castro marries Maria de Sao Jose, daughter of Mattheus Goncalves da Silva ad Marianna Joaquina on 12/3/1845. I need someone to please read these records to make sure that i have the right connection. Maybe this family is in someone tree?
