Yes, my text was a bit confusing and incomplete. Let me try to fill the
gaps on my previous message.

- My great great grandparents: Antonio Martins d'Azara and Theodora Emilia.
They got married on 1844, according to their marriage registration that I
could find at the culturazores website
(http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/TER-AH-SE-C-1828-1849/TER-AH-SE-C-1828-1849_item1/P227.html)

- right page.

- Then on 1845 my great grandfather was born. His name was Antonio Aniceto
Azara de Oliveira. His baptism certificate I could also find at the
culturazores website. (
http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/TER-AH-RIBEIRINHA-B-1845-1857/TER-AH-RIBEIRINHA-B-1845-1857_item1/P5.html)

- bottom left page

- Then on 1857 a passport was issued for Antonio Martins d'Azara (age 12).
Passport 186, issued on november, 1857
(http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/PASSAPORTES-TER-1857-1863/PASSAPORTES-TER-1857-1863_item1/P16.html)

- And finally on 1870, a copy of a document called "habilitacão" was issued
at the General Consulate of Portugal in Brazil (This one I have in paper
here with me). It says it is a copy and that the original was issued on
january, 1858 (which matches the date of the boarding in the ship, but not
the original passport but is close). This is what is written at the
habilitação (besides showing the same biometrics information and age as the
passport above):

Marceneiro.

- Then on 1872 Antonio Aniceto Azara de Oliveira (my great grandfather)
gets married at the age of 27 (according to his marriage certificate).

Looking at all those dates together I keep thinking that the passport
issued on 1857 belonged to Antonio Aniceto Azara de Oliveira, who really
was 12 years old by the time, but I can`t figure out why the name there is
his father`s. So I was wondering if anyone had seen this before.

Thanks!!
