OK, but now that you've directed this email to me, I'm probably the only one who will answer. Yeah, I thought you were talking about finding aids on Sao Jorge island because you got yourself off of Sao Miguel!
Dad is Manuel Jose Teixeira. He's native of the island of Sao Jorge. You have mom right. The baby was born dois (2) day of Feb. Looks almost like doij. 1843. You have the godparents right. The words in between are "e sua irmã" for "and his sister" but he wrote "esua" all together and "irmã" is an old spelling for sister. Looks like "irman." Keep dusting off the cobwebs. It'll come back!
