Alex, Not knowing when your great-grandparents were born, I don't know what to tell you about their siblings. Very few people have living great-grandparents. Will you find their siblings? I don't know. The next generation down, you mention nephews. Without any dates, it's impossible to tell if any of them are alive. All of my great-grandparents and their siblings are now deceased. So is all the next generation. Maybe some younger people have their grandparents generation alive (and their siblings). But without any reference of a year they were born, it's impossible to say.
You can access Sao Miguel records online up to 1905: https://tombo.pt/d/acores 1906-1915 should be at the Biblioteca e Arquivo in Ponta Delgada.
