Thank you for your kind words on the SaoJorgeGenealogy.org website. It is a work in progress and there will be much more to come. At this time there are indexers working on the Death Index. The Concelho of Calheta is about 90% complete and the Concelho of Velas is probably 50% complete. It is slow going but will be worth the wait. There are also researchers in Sao Jorge that are photographing the cemeteries, archival materials and just about anything that the government and or churches will let them copy! So, keep checking out the site for new postings.
