Elaine M, Yes, Living DNA will accept transfers. I believe FTDNA's raw data is better than Ancestry DNA's: It has almost twice the amount of SNPs. But since I've been out of it this year (my mom's death and my dad's surgeries), I'm not entirely sure how to do it. I did a Google search and found this:
Living DNA transfers: Family Tree DNA (.csv file, Build37) - mtDNA only or yDNA only files are not eligible. *Please note that FTDNA files download as a .gz file.
