Hi Robert,

Portuguese last names can be frustrating, to be sure!  Rosemary gave you a 
great site to get started, and it has some good info on the naming 
practices.  

I had a quick look for Maria's baptism in the baptism books for Faja Grande 
around the date that you gave for her birthday, but I didn't find her.  You 
should double check, because I could easily have missed her.  Or, possibly 
the date you have for her birthday is off a year or two-- it happens.

However, in the 1902 baptisms, I found a Francisco born to a Francisco 
Rodrigues Coelho and Maria Emilia Fernandes.  Here's the page with the

If your Frank's birthday matches this baby's record, then these are likely 
your great grandparents.
