Hi Anthony J M, To begin genealogical research, you need a name, date, and place. Do Jose and Maria have any other names? They need last names (especially Jose). You need dates (or a range) for when they were born. Going back to Sao Miguel in 1925 is a great fact to have, but we don't know if they were 25 when they went back or 45. Somerset, England? Somerset, Canada? Or in America? We have probably a couple of dozen places named Somerset in America.
A how-to do Azorean research is on the Azores GenWeb link below. It's written from an American perspective. If your Somerset is in England, say, then you will have to contact your local genealogy society about researching an immigrant from your country, although the link below may give you ideas. http://www.worldgenweb.org/azrwgw/research-aids-a---l/finding-your-portuguese/ Good luck and happy hunting!
