You can search without being a member, but won't get to the detailed records - not sure if the free guest membership will allow access, but people can certainly try it. I've been doing some digging there for the Irish half of my family, but have been waiting for release of information from the Ned Bedford area to see what I could find. i'm not sure what their model is for which records they scan, though.
