Hi Patrick,
Try exploring US sources. Information and images available online via Ancestry.com, etc. *US Censuses (1910, 20, 30, 40): especially ‘10 and ‘20 have a section asking when to US and citizenship status (Al – alien; Pa – filed papers; Na – Naturalized) *If Pa or Na, you can then check for filings of Intent or Naturalization papers – which would have the details the ship, dates. From the ship’s roster, you’ll hopefully find the family cluster and their destination (who they were coming to see/be with). Best of luck, Marsha Stringer [email protected] *From:* [email protected] <[email protected]> *On Behalf Of *Patrick McCormack *Sent:* Thursday, April 18, 2019 8:41 PM *To:* Azores Genealogy <[email protected]> *Subject:* [AZORES-Genealogy] looking for grandmother's family Maria Cavalho Valentim (?????) Left the Azores early early 1900's. She was pre-teen, maybe as young as 9. Came with mother and siblings. More to Fall River, Massachusetts, USA area. Maybe Providence, Rhode Island at first. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Azores Genealogy" group.
