Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) is having a sale in honor of Mother's Day in America. This sale ends Monday, May 13 at 11:59 pm PDT. Family Finder was $79 and is on sale for $59. Mitochondrial DNA Full Sequence was $199 and is on sale for $149. There's a savings too if you are ordering both for the same person. Family Finder: Tests ALL lines of the test taker, back about 200 years before their birth. If they were born in 1950, then they have DNA in them back to about 1750. Mitochondrial DNA: Tests the mother's mother's mother's line only. It is the bottom of the pedigree chart. If you are an existing customer and wish to add on a test of a different type, log into your DNA page with your kit number and order from there.
