I no longer use Ancestry.com as my primary genealogy program; instead I use Family Tree Maker. I didn’t know that all the source documents on Ancestry is considered theirs and so I no longer can put that data into FTM. Cheri says she just copies the data from Ancestry but I’m finding each time I try I get a solicitation to rejoin Ancestry and pay. Even if successful at copying it will take a lot of work to look at 17,000 entries on Ancestry and copy them to FTM. Does anyone have a way to get Ancestry data onto their computer and into another genealogy program? I’m surprised it doesn’t happen when I do a gedcom from Ancestry to FTM. Gordon
