"Proto-MT" (sometimes called "pre-MT") refers to any *Hebrew* text from before the time of the Masoretes. The Judaean Desert/Dead Sea Scrolls are one example, but even such epigraphic finds as the two amulets of rolled silver foil with their quotations from Numbers are also proto-MT "texts".
LXX, not being in Hebrew, is not a proto-MT text, although it is a textual witness to a proto-MT Hebrew text, or, perhaps more accurately, to pre-MT textual tradition(s), as is also the Vulgate, which was translated from a proto-MT a couple of centuries before the pointing of the text.
