HAZUY in hebrew slang is "crazy, surreal, fantastic, incredible". and so is b-hebrew at times... :)
...returning from the virtual world to reality, i really think the question of the "grammatically correct" form of EXAD is meaningless since EXAD is so much older than hebrew grammar and the xataf-patax. if indeed the archaic form was AXAD, or even XAD, it sure had a good reason to become EXAD so as to be distinguished from AXAT (feminine) and later on from AXAD (smikhut). so, when the xataf-patax was invented, EXAD was already stuck in its irregular position. nir cohen _______________________________________________ b-hebrew mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/b-hebrew
