Oh yes, I know of the interpretation (and even once held to it myself), but the 
rationale for it seems to be working with assumptions that are not actually 
expressed in the text.

I know the answer to this even though I disagree with it: it is believed that 
the 7 sevens and 62 sevens mentioned in Daniel 9 are consecutive, yet real 
intervals.

I thought you had already heard of this interpretation of the passage.
