It compiles and is largely a dup of the route code, so it looks like
it has potential.

I've really kind of overcommitted for this weekend!!!!!, but I'll be
sure to give it a shot.

are you going to ietf in person, btw? (I'm going to the hackers
convention in santa cruz)
