Hi, Anyone using hwsim to simulate adhoc mesh networks?
I am investigating how that could be used to create some simple network simulator, in order to run Babel on top of those, and see how it behaves. Some kind of virtual battlemesh (barelly needed since the testbed has always been the weak point over the week of experimentations, turned into a conference). If we cannot achieve tests over a permanent testbed setup for whatever reason (interferences, costs, single channel, etc), let's try the virtual way. I know simulating the wireless stack is not easy, but at least there are some aspects we can test already. I am CCing the brazilian authors of Mininet-wifi, if there are people interested, I will try tomorrow to run it: https://github.com/intrig-unicamp/mininet-wifi See you tomorrow and saturday in Paris! -- Benjamin Henrion (zoobab) Email: zoobab at gmail.com Mobile: +32-484-566109 Web: http://www.zoobab.com FFII.org Brussels "In July 2005, after several failed attempts to legalise software patents in Europe, the patent establishment changed its strategy. Instead of explicitly seeking to sanction the patentability of software, they are now seeking to create a central European patent court, which would establish and enforce patentability rules in their favor, without any possibility of correction by competing courts or democratically elected legislators." _______________________________________________ Babel-users mailing list [email protected] https://alioth-lists.debian.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/babel-users
