Dear all, Babel 0.12 is now available from
http://www.pps.jussieu.fr/~jch/software/files/babel-0.12.tar.gz http://www.pps.jussieu.fr/~jch/software/files/babel-0.12.tar.gz.asc The main feature of this version is that route retractions are resent multiple times, which speeds up the elimination of blackholes in presence of heavy packet loss. Other than that, some minor tweaks to the request forwarding logic and to the ordering of updates, both changes make Babel less noisy with no change to convergence speed. Juliusz 7 April 2008: babel 0.12 * Retractions are now sent multiple times, which should speed-up convergence in presence of packet loss. * Optimised the sending of updates to make them smaller. * Don't forward requests multiple times; this should reduce the noise due to requests with no increase in convergence time. * Fixed a bug that could cause a crash when resending requests. * Added some protection against clock stepping.
