Dear all, For reasons best left for future generations of historians to work out on their own, the IANA-allocated port for the Babel routing protocol has been changed to
babel 6696/UDP # Babel Routing Protocol The previously assigned port, 6697, is now listed as unassigned. AFAIK, it is reserved for IRC over TLS. I'm going to release a new version of babeld that uses 6696 by default this afternoon. You will still be able to use the "-p" command-line flag in order to use the old port. -- Juliusz
