Hi Juliusz,
This is openwrt running lede on a x86-64 VM and the current openwrt babel package wit h version 1.8 connecting to a debian server using fastd. the fastd-interface called mesh-vpn is one of babels interfaces.Under which conditions are rtt and rttcost included? When we've received a valid timestamp from the neighbour within the last three minutes (see valid_rtt in neighbour.c). A zero rtt is strange; could you please send us your configuration?
On the server I have babeld-1.7.1-71-g556af3c installed. This is the server-side configuration of babeld: Ipv6-subtrees true Export-table 10 Import-table 11 Import-table 12 Interface mesh-vpn-1312 Interface eth2 Redistribute metric 256 On the openwrt-VM I am running this config: ipv6-subtrees true Export-table 10 Import-table 255 Import-table 11 Redistribute ip 2a06:8187:fbab:2::1/128 deny Redistribute ip 2a06:8187:fbab:2::/64 eq 128 allow Redistribute ip 2a06:8187:fbab:1::/64 eq 128 allow Redistribute local deny Redistribute ip ::/0 eq 0 allowBabeld is started on interface "lo" where there is no real traffic but babeld insists on starting with an interface. The interface mesh-vpn (fastd-interface) is added via add interface on the socket during fastd runtime.
It seems sometimes rtt is reported and sometimes it is not and I cannot quite identify what causes it to be visible.
