Bay Area Biosystematists Meeting: Tuesday, 11 May, 2009

at Sonoma State University, Darwin Hall 102

                         Education and Outreach about Evolution

Evolutionary biology is a growing discipline and the importance of evolutionary principles has been recognized among biologists working in diverse areas. Evolution has also gained attention in the popular press through the writings of evolutionists and other biologists. Nevertheless, many education and outreach programs do not give evolutionary principles much attention. In this discussion, we will hear from four groups who are working to remedy this situation through education and outreach programs focused specifically on evolutionary principles and concepts.
