Reminder: there will be a special Biosystematists meeting to be held
Saturday afternoon and evening, May 14, 2011, at University of San
Francisco, on:
Human races and evolutionary biology
Speakers include Lisa Gannett, Massimo Pigliucci, and Alan Templeton
-- plus there will be plenty of time for audience discussion. See

The organizer, Quayshawn Spencer, has secured funding to provide
refreshments at breaks and reception, so there is no charge to attend,
and no need to RSVP. There will, however, not be an organized group
dinner in the usual BABS style. Instead Quayshawn will hand out a
list of nearby restaurants and we encourage folks to self-organize
into groups and go out to dinner after the conference ends at 7:00 pm.
This conference is a follow-up of the excellent BABS meeting held at
Stanford in January 2010, and promises to be engaging and
controversial. Hope to see you all there!
