Hello, I am a first time poster. I have searched for information regarding the backend infrastructure for news.bbc.co.uk but was unable to find much. FWIW, http://support.bbc.co.uk/support/ has a lot of broken links.
I read that BBC news uses Apache with a few modules and PHP/MySQL for live stats reporting. What DB does it use and what kind of modules and if developers can divulge any other technical details (without compromising security) that would be welcome. I am hoping it might help in assessing the architecture of some local news websites here in Pakistan and how they compare. Thanks, Aleem
