In this instance you are not obtaining your feed from the BBC, but instead deriving it from Google.  With this in mind, your use would fall outside of the backstage.bbc.co.uk licence and instead come under the terms and conditions of Google - specifically as to whether they allow the scraping of their site for this kind of use.  Understandably, I'm unable to comment on the licences of other providers, so would need to check with them. Finally, I would stress that backstage.bbc.co.uk wants to promote good practice with respect to content distribution.  Screen scraping HTML is in my opinion not good practice.  I realise that there is a strong desire for the launch of our RSS Search product for BBC News BBC Sport website, and as such I totally understand why people are producing their own versions like this.  However the "official" product is currently in development but it is coming!  Please be as patient as you can :).
