Where are the graphical or aurally re-purposed 'backstage' projects?

I'm having great difficulty accessing any examples of ideas or prototypes that re-purpose bbc content that isn't text.

About 10% of the population is functionally illiterate.

Many people prefer graphics to text, and most of us, who are visually able, for instance use and understand the 'home button'.

text news feeds are excellent for those that don't have access to graphics, but a newspaper without images doesn't seem to be popular at the present time.

cheers
