BBC Learning and Interactive's Software Engineering team are looking for experienced perl programmers to join the team. Typical work involves writing reusable toolkits and assembling them into data processing pipelines for events such as the Big Read and Digital Picture of Britain, enhancing the CPMS engines that power websites such as GCSE Bitesize and Recipes, and create highly scalable modperl applications used on hundreds of services across bbc.co.uk. We are also committed to releasing potentially useful modules to CPAN where possible - http://search.cpan.org/~bbc are currently all by us. For more info see https://jobs.bbc.co.uk/JobPortal/Search/vacancy.aspx?id=5339. Please don't send applications directly to me - we can only accept applications via the jobs website.
