While the PPlive platform is pretty impressive, the quality of streams are poor considering some are broadcast over an 800k stream. Just to illustrate most of the streams are only at a quality which is viewable in a quater size real player screen. Even then, there are considerable breaks in the stream, and you need to log roughly 10 mins before the programme starts, in order to allow the stream to synchronise. A slightly better platform is the sopcast programme (www.sopcast.org). While the channel list for this platform is a lot more limited the streams are consistent.
