Yep - I noticed this with 'How Buildings Learn' playing with the
prototype internally. Steward Brand, the presenter, was listed in the
body of the description, but *regular contributors* - eg presenters
don't appear in the cast and crew listings. Sub-optimal...
Perhaps they're held at a higher-than-programme level, eg in some kind
of 'series' or 'brand' abstraction?
Is there a way to recognise names within the descrition texts and
add to
the metadata?
The librarians do an amazing job, but every single thing you see in
that screenshot (and that's in the database) has been typed in by
someone, by hand. There just aren't enough librarian-hours in the day
to cover every programme, and every contributor to them. My code has
a bit of a go at recognising contributors in the descriptions, but
it's a hard natural-language problem.
