The traffic event data comes from the BBC TPEG feeds:

http://backstage.bbc.co.uk/data/TravelFeeds?v=138u

The roadworks and VMS signs come from here:

http://www.ntccxmlservice.hatrafficresearch.info/

This is apparently a trial service.

I use Python scripts on the server to download and parse this XML into more xml
files but with the details teased out and the html for the marker infowindows
pre-generated.

That's cool, where are you getting the traffic data from?

Thanks,

Phil.

I was hoping someone would notice the bzzzy icon.

The site layout is a bit wonky on initial entry. If you click on 'help'
button or resize the browser window the status bar along the bottom
should appear. In the middle of this is the 'permalink' link.
Bookmarking this will take you back to whatever dataset was currently
loaded onto the map. The layout issue is on my list of things to fix.
